Description
These limit indicators find their application wherever
overpressures must be displayed with certainty and not be
tampered with, such as in the process, chemical or petrochemical
industries, in power plants, in the environmental sector,
in machine building or in general plant construction.
The limit indicator is a mechanical indicator mounted on the
dial with two settings.
The indicator is slid from the actual value pointer via a drive
pin from a green area to a red area, when the set limit value
is exceeded. In the red area, the indicator is locked and is
unable to move back from there.
If the indicator is in the green area, the pressure limit being
monitored has not been exceeded.
Special
If the indicator is found in the red area, the set pressure range
has been exceeded at least once.
In this case, the indicator will remain permanently locked
and protected from tampering in the red area.
To prevent tampering with the limit indicator, the pressure
measuring instruments can be optionally lead sealed, or
be offered with an adhesive seal that cannot be peeled off
without destroying it.
Example:
If the pressure rises to approx. 10 % above the set value,
which is 8 bar in this example (as shown in the photo), an
indicator is locked into a predefined channel by the instrument
pointer. The indicator cannot be reset anymore.
